Dane--Thanks for this. It's interesting to see so many communities recognizing the need to get everyone involved in Student Success. I don't know if you are familiar with Jack Minzey's work. He's the "grandfather" of community education and wrote about the need to engage the community at a time when population is shifting to a time when the vast majority of residents do not have a child in the public schools. His book "Reforming Public Schools through Community Education", although written in the 1970's, is timely today. I recommend picking it up.
