Reminds me of the story of the Cuban immigrants to the United States describing to some Americans the horrors of Castro's Cuba.

"Boy, we are lucky," commented the Americans, "to live in a free country."

"No," replied the Cubans. "We are the lucky ones. We could flee oppression by coming to America. When you lose freedom in America, there is no place to go."

Balanced approach is not the answer.
